Interpreting the Findex Results: Opportunities for Mainstream Finance

You are invited to join the Center for Financial Inclusion and the Institute of International Finance on Tuesday, May 22 at 9:30 EDT for a virtual event focusing on the long-awaited results of 2017 Global Findex survey. Building upon CFI’s analysis of the World Bank Data, the conversation will highlight key trends that will have the greatest impact for mainstream financial institutions and the greater financial inclusion community at large.

Notably, we see financial institutions continuing to play a dominant role in financial inclusion. But in the past few years, despite a reduction in the global unbanked population, we’ve found that levels of account dormancy remain high. The Institute of International Finance will underscore the opportunity for financial service providers on how best to leverage new technology to better serve lower income segments and actively participate in financial inclusion, building on insights from most recent data.
