Investing in Integration: Unlocking Triple Elimination Investments in Global Fund GC8

Elimination of vertical transmission (EVT) of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B is widely recognized as a high-impact and cost-effective area of investment for countries. However, programming, implementation, and financing remain uneven, and approaches to integrated delivery continue to evolve. The current Global Fund GC8 grant cycle represents a critical and time-limited window for countries to strengthen integrated EVT investments within funding requests and domestic co-financing plans.

This practical webinar is designed for Ministries of Health, Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs), Principal Recipients, civil society, and technical partners engaged in GC8 planning. Participants will hear how EVT aligns with evolving GC8 priorities, review complementary partner tools to support proposal development and implementation planning—including practical guidance for introducing new products such as triplex testing—and explore how to leverage complementary financing, including domestic resources and partner support such as Gavi, to strengthen integrated investments.

The webinar will also draw on lessons from GC7 and emphasize immediate, practical actions countries can take to incorporate and prioritize EVT interventions within GC8 funding applications. It will conclude with a call to action for all GC8 stakeholders – including civil society – to actively engage in country dialogue and advocate for integrated, equitable EVT investments over the next 3-6 months.
