Building on the 2021 ecosystem mapping study, this research provides an updated picture of Ghana’s investing landscape, estimates the size of the impact investing market and examines the opportunities and gaps within the ecosystem. The findings offer valuable insights into the actors operating in the market, the capital available, the sectors attracting investment, and the challenges that must be addressed to unlock greater flows of capital towards businesses to deliver both a positive financial return and social and environmental impact. The research is particularly timely as Ghana seeks to mobilise more domestic capital, expand innovative and blended finance solutions, strengthen investment readiness among enterprises, and improve collaboration between investors, policymakers, development partners, and other ecosystem stakeholders.

The launch will present the findings and their implications for investors, policymakers, development partners and enterprise support organisations and identify practical

actions that stakeholders can take collectively to address existing gaps and to channel more private capital towards prosperity and development priorities.
