Me. You. Us. Collaboration in Development Cooperation

Stronger together. Collaboration is getting more important in development cooperation. Join our discussion o how to achieve best impacts.

TeamUp Uganda is inviting you to an exchange on the power of collaboration in development cooperation. As the mindset in development cooperation shifts towards embracing the positive effects of collaboration, we will present and discuss its value in an open exchange between practitioners and academics. Our event will showcase the importance of this new mindset as we transition from Phase I to Phase II of TeamUp Uganda.

Together with experts in the field of development cooperation, we will analyze why cross-sectoral collaboration is the way ahead and how it can shorten the path toward achieving better and faster results. We will also explore how taking a long-term approach to collaboration can bring continuity to cooperation.

Panelists:

  • Susanne Salz | GIZ
  • Leona Henry | University Witten/Herdecke
  • Monica Basemera | TeamUp Uganda

Moderation:

  • Monika Hoegen

The panel discussion was recorded on April 21, 2023 in Hamburg.

TeamUp Uganda is a cross-sector multistakeholder approach in the areas of agriculture, water, and health. During the event, we will discuss what has worked well, what has been challenging, and what ideas and solutions are available for collaboration. Academic experts will share their knowledge and expertise on collaborative approaches. We will showcase how this approach is put into practice through the collaboration of the TeamUp Partners in Germany and Uganda.

TeamUp Uganda is financed and managed by Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung (DSW), Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS), Siemens Stiftung, and Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Our implementing partners are Action 4 Health Uganda, Whave, and Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung Uganda.
