NextBillion - An Initiative of the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan

UNDP and Impact Hub Geneva will host the inaugural Social Good Summit Geneva this October 6th. The event will focus on the catalytic role entrepreneurship and innovation can play for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SGSGeneva is an invite-only event which aims to bring together the different actors who are able to work towards the accelerated implementation of the SDGs – entrepreneurs, impact investors, innovators, representatives from the global supply chain, international organizations, bilateral cooperation and local enablers of entrepreneurship – connecting them and bridging their expertise.

PROGRAMME:

• PANEL DISCUSSION: ‘How to scale up innovative business driven solutions for the SDGs’ – an explorative discussion on the role of incubators, the way to support start up’s growth and the innovative mechanisms to solve the financing gaps
• PITCHING SESSION: Hear pitches from five innovative and inspiring social ventures from the Global South, selected through #Accelerate2030 with the support of the global Impact Hub network
• CONNECTION FAIR: A moment to meet individually with 10 entrepreneurs – Swiss based and from the Global South – followed by a networking cocktail to encourage further discussion
