Speaker Series: A Conversation on Women’s Empowerment

Join the Stanford King Center on Global Development on Wednesday, February 17 for a conversation on women’s empowerment as part of the center’s ongoing Speaker Series. The discussion will focus on approaches to support gender justice in low- and middle-income countries. How can we successfully build opportunities for women?  What strategies for empowering women have worked where, and can these strategies be adapted elsewhere?

The event will feature:
• Latanya Mapp Frett, CEO and president of Global Fund for Women,
• Mozn Hassan, founder and executive director of Egypt’s Nazra for Feminist Studies, and
• Anne Firth Murray, founding president of Global Fund for Women.

The conversation will be moderated by Lisa Blaydes, professor of political science and a King Center faculty affiliate.
