Strengthening the Financial Future of Families, Communities and the Nation
Join the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), and the Center for Public Health Initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to explore new ideas and opportunities for building financial health and well-being in the Philadelphia area.
Participants will receive a copy of the recently released book, What It’s Worth: Strengthening the Financial Future of Families, Communities and the Nation. Through more than 30 essays authored by experts from across a broad range of fields, this book provides a 360-degree view of the financial problems and challenges millions of American households face, highlights the enormous creativity and innovation already happening to increase financial well-being, and presents steps to implement proven and emerging solutions.
Speakers at this event will examine the intricate link between financial health and public health and will explore promising solutions for public health and community development stakeholders to work together in building financial well-being. Emphasis will be placed on social disparities and initiatives targeting low-income populations.
