Virtual Subsistence Marketplaces Conference

As Prelude to Postponed In-Person Conferences to be Rescheduled for Summer, 2021 (8th Subsistence Marketplaces Conference, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, and Third Subsistence Marketplaces Bottom-Up Immersion Conference, Puebla, Mexico)

Online learning experiences about subsistence marketplaces have reached thousands of learners in the last decade.  (Examples include on-campus courses with virtual immersion, Coursera courses and online MBA courses, at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and ongoing initiatives at Loyola Marymount University). Our content ranges from online simulations, to virtual reality, multi-media case studies and day-in-the-life videos, and live virtual interviews, all of which will be featured in the workshop. Guided by designers who pioneered these initiatives, participants will first take on the role of learners and then codesign learning experiences. This workshop will be of interest to a broad range of educators, irrespective of discipline and specific interest areas.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Dates: May 31, 2020 - June 1, 2020
