Anuradha Shetty
Soros Economic Development Fund

Anuradha Shetty is a Principal at the Soros Economic Development Fund, the impact investing arm of the Open Society Foundations. At SEDF she leads a portfolio of work focused on women’s economic empowerment and investing in the care economy.  Prior to joining SEDF, Anu worked at the U.S. government’s International Development Finance Corporation (previously OPIC) where she helped provide debt capital to early–stage social enterprises and also managed a competitive process for impact-focused investment funds.  Prior to DFC, Anu was a key member to start up the Impact Investing initiative at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A., enabling the foundation to make impact investments across the global Aga Khan Development Network.  Anu holds a Master’s degree in International Finance and Economic Policy from Columbia University in New York and Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of Michigan.
