Bill Maurer

Bill Maurer is dean of the School of Social Sciences and professor of anthropology, criminology and law at the University of California, Irvine. He is the author of numerous books and articles on money’s technologies and fintech and directs the Institute for Money, Technology and Financial Inclusion, along with the Filene Center of Excellence for financial technology.

Bill received his PhD and MA from Stanford University and his BA from Vassar College.
