Dr. Gracsious Maviza is the Southern Africa Regional Lead for the CGIAR FOCUS Climate Security team at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. With over 15 years of experience as a social scientist, she specializes in qualitative research on migration and families, forced migration and displacement, refugee protection, and the connections between climate change, peace, and security. Dr. Maviza’s work also addresses critical issues in livelihoods and gender, exploring how these crosscutting themes shape resilience across Southern Africa.
