Mifos Initiative

James Dailey consults on payments and banking systems for financial inclusion. He is the founder of the Mifos initiative – open source banking – and has worked with USAID, the World Bank, IFC, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on strategies to enable high volume, low cost payments and account systems. Previously he built to scale a venture linking carbon markets to microfinance and helped launch an open source solution for public health logistics for developing countries. He lives in Seattle.
