Joana Furquim joined Hystra in 2022. At Hystra, she has been working on two projects for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to explore the potential of innovative affordable menstrual health products globally; and to test the market potential of nutritious products for pregnant and lactating women in Pakistan.
Prior to Hystra, Joana worked as a research assistant at the UN Economic Commission for Africa and was a legal advisor at Vetor Brasil, a Brazilian organization working with state and municipal governments to attract and develop public professionals.
Joana holds a Master’s degree in economics and public policy from Sciences Po Paris as well as a Law degree from the University of São Paulo.
