Luz Gomez currently leads Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth’s work in Latin America. She came to Mastercard with over 15 years of experience working with the public and private sectors including launching successful microfinance programs at Accion International’s U.S. affiliates. She conducted research and evaluation of financial services programs and products with the Economic Opportunities Program at the Aspen Institute.  She is author or co-author of several studies related to scale in the microenterprise field. Most recently, Luz worked as the research director for Knight Foundation, which involved leading research and evaluation design as well as learning initiatives within the foundation. Luz holds an M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
