Payal Agarwal is a financial inclusion and mutual insurance specialist with more than 15+ years of experience. Her rich and varied experience comprises of work done across five countries with insurance companies, government, not-for-profit and consulting organisations to facilitate access to finance, risk reduction and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for the poor.

At present she wears multiple hats at Uplift Mutuals – she is developing a full stack mutual aid digital platform for gig economy workers and truck drivers. She also leads the research and consulting projects on microinsurance and financial inclusion. Payal is a Trustee of Uplift Mutual Aid and Development Society.
