Rebecca has worked for over a decade advising on gender issues with several international NGOs in their work to combat poverty and inequality in Latin America. Rebecca’s experience and insights working with entrepreneurs and communities across the region have culminated in published work on gender and development and women’s economic leadership. Rebecca has also designed, implemented and evaluated a diversity of development programmes, ensuring their adoption of a gender approach. A proponent of work in multi-disciplinary teams to come up with innovative solutions to social and economic problems for women and men, Rebecca leads Value for Women’s underlying aim to promote transformative change towards gender equality through economic empowerment of women. Value for women is a social enterprise that that works towards women’s economic leadership and enterprise development in Latin America. Value for Women builds partnerships to advance social and economic development through women-led enterprise.
