Rishabh Kaul
National Entrepreneurship Network

Rishabh is currently working as a trainee at the National Entrepreneurship Network, where he is part of a 2 member team that is setting up entrepreneurship clubs all over India. He is also the co-founder of Overhead Transmission, a knowledge company that promotes curiosity by making tasteful quizzes. He is currently a senior undergraduate at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, pursuing two simultaneous degrees in Economics and Civil Engineering. At Pilani, he is an active member of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) where he was involved with the Rural Entrepreneurship Development (RED) wing at CEL and also served as the editor of CEL’s inaugural international newsletter: Aspire.

He was one of the very few Indians funded by the global NGO consortium Tcktcktckto attend the COP15 at Copenhagen in 2009 and was recently chosen as a student delegate at the prestigious World Business Dialogue which is held annually at the University of Cologne

In the past, he has helped major corporations and non profits with market research at India’s premier economic think tank, the National Council of Applied Economic Research, New Delhi. He has also interned at the International Center for the Advancement of Rural Eye Care (ICARE), the community health care wing of L V Prasad Eye Institute, where he was researching on cost effectiveness of ICARE’s intervention as compared to the conventional model of the Government’s Primary Health Clinic as well as engaged in business development for Sarvajal, a for profit social enterprise providing clean, affordable water to the nation’s poor.

He is currently also involved with a non profit (he prefers the term for-impact), Grassroutes, which sends youth on road trips where they are tied up with NGOs to drive social change. At Grassroutes he works on community outreach and marketing.

His interests lie in sustainable enterprises, education, developmental economics and how the web can be used to drive social change.
