Sarah Bel
UNDP

Sarah Bel has more than 15 years of experience in strategic communication, working for international organizations and the French public sector. She’s currently a communication adviser for the UNDP’s Geneva office and manages UNDP media relations in Europe. She also runs the Social Good Summit in Geneva, bringing together international organizations, entrepreneurs and impact investors to discuss how to scale up and finance impact-driven ventures in the context of the SDGs. Prior to that, she managed the advocacy campaign of the Better Than Cash Alliance at UNCDF in New York and worked for the Microinsurance Innovation Facility hosted at the International Labor Organization, managing strategic communication and knowledge-sharing activities. Prior to joining the UN system, Sarah worked for the Technical Center for Agriculture, an EU/ACP institution based in The Netherlands, managing media-related activities. She also worked in Indonesia and Cambodia for the French Embassy and collaborated with UNESCO on the revival of traditional performing arts. She earned a master’s degree in communication for development from the University of Malmö Högskola in Sweden and holds a postgraduate diploma in cultural management from the University of Paris VIII, France.
