Somatish Banerji is a manager, business consulting and research, at Intellecap. He has more than 12 years of experience in management consulting, base of the pyramid business models, equity research and knowledge process outsourcing. Over the past six years – initially at Re-emerging World Consulting and currently at Intellecap – he has worked on international consulting assignments on sustainable base of the pyramid business models across sectors including agriculture, renewable energy, nutrition and health care. He specializes in consumer research, business research, financial modeling and business plan and business model design. He has worked on research and consulting engagements in India, Indonesia and Africa with MNCs, multilateral institutions, INGOs and other stakeholders in the inclusive business ecosystem. Earlier, he worked in equity research and knowledge process outsourcing for seven years in Mumbai, where he was responsible for setting up an equity research team and managing fundamental research on global equities across major sectors. He earned a master’s in business administration degree in finance from Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, Kolkata, and is a commerce graduate from St. Xaviers’ College, Kolkata.
