    Rebecca Dray

    Executive Director, Buy Social USA

    Rebecca has founded and run several social enterprise companies and ecosystem development organizations over the last 17 years. Originally from the UK, she has experience on both sides of the pond with areas such as social procurement, social enterprise certification and verification systems, social enterprise legal formation and legal structures, policy development and implementation. She is currently Executive Director of Buy Social USA – the first social procurement capacity building organization in the USA.

    Amanda Kiessel

    Cocreator, Good Market

    Dr. Amanda Kiessel is a cocreator of Good Market, a digital commons for social enterprises, cooperatives, responsible businesses, civic organizations, networks, and changemakers working to create a 21st-century economy that’s “good for people and good for the planet.” It currently includes more than 3.200 enterprises across 105 countries. Amanda spent the past 20 years in Asia working with local organizations on agroecology and sustainable food systems, organizational development, and social enterprise. She has a PhD in Environmental Studies, a Masters in Sustainable International Development, and a degree in Biology with a specialty in ecotoxicology. Amanda is an Ashoka Fellow and serves on the board of the Social Enterprise World Forum.

    e-MFP WASH AG: Climate Change and WASH

    The e-MFP WASH Action Group is excited to continue its Climate Change and WASH webinar series, this time featuring a post-COP28 ‘stocktake’ on the Conference’s implications for WASH financing. We have invited UNICEF’s Mr. Jorge Alvarez-Sala, a career-WASH specialist, to outline what COP28 means for WASH financing broadly, as well as UNICEF’s WASH financing projects. To complement this, we will also welcome Dr. Max Wengawenga, Deputy Director of Policy and Planning in the Ministry of Water and Sanitation in Malawi, to talk about Malawi’s Climate Resilient WASH Financing Strategy, designed and implemented together with UNICEF. Moderation will be by Dr. Mónica A. Altamirano de Jong, Director of Climate Impact at WaterEquity.
