How Smart Metering Reshapes Water Security
Across Africa, water scarcity, revenue loss, and infrastructure inefficiencies remain critical challenges for utilities and governments. But a recent breakthrough in Botswana is turning the tide.
Through the successful rollout of a large smart prepaid water meter pilot project, Botswana has set a new benchmark for how digital infrastructure can transform water management at scale.
Join us for an in-depth webinar exploring how smart metering is unlocking new possibilities for efficient water use and consumer empowerment.
We’ll examine the pioneering implementation by Botswana’s Water Utilities Corporation (WUC), backed by a substantial public investment, and discuss how this model can be replicated and scaled across the continent.

Advancing Impact Reporting: What to Do When Things Go Wrong!
The Impact Frontiers and African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) are collaborating on a pilot program for Impact Performance Reporting Norms. The program aims to enhance the clarity, consistency, and decision-usefulness of impact reporting practices in Africa. It is specifically designed to support learning and adaptation of the reporting norms within African markets, helping to contextualize global guidance to better align with local needs, practices, and priorities.
