This session will explore how refugee leadership is being institutionalized across the range of solutions for refugees and specifically in programs such as resettlement, family reunification, labour mobility, and self-reliance initiatives. It will highlight the opportunities and impact of refugee-led and community-driven approaches in advancing solutions, while unpacking the systemic challenges that refugee-led and local organizations face in influencing policy, accessing resources, and sustaining engagement in the space of solutions for refugees.

Through concrete examples and case studies, the discussion will demonstrate both the ongoing gaps in meaningful inclusion of refugee-led organizations in pursuit of solutions and the transformative results that emerge when they are trusted as equal partners. Panelists will examine lessons from practice that reveal how equitable collaboration, flexible funding, and shared accountability can drive institutional change and improve outcomes across solutions.

Ultimately, the panel will underscore that meaningful participation of refugees and other local actors is not only ethical but essential for supporting refugee access to solutions.
