Centering Equity and Community Engagement in Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs

RMI explores the findings of our latest report Delivering Equitable and Meaningful Community Benefits via Clean Hydrogen Hubsin a webinar on February 1, 2024.  

The webinar features opening remarks by Dr. Sunita Satyapal, director of the US Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office, who coordinates activities across offices for the US DOE Hydrogen Program. 

Following is a short presentation by RMI experts and lead authors, Chathurika GamageHadia Sheerazi, and Gareth Westler, who share their key learnings and recommendations from advising projects as a part of the $7 billion US Dept. of Energy’s “Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs)” award on best practices for stakeholder management and designing responsive and well-rounded community benefits plans.  

A panel discussion with leaders in the clean hydrogen industry, state energy policymakers, and community and labor groups will follow the presentations.
