Assessing the Value of Digitization: Guidelines for Investors
CGAP recently researched the key elements that drive success in digital implementations and distilled the learnings into five principles, anchored in business intelligence and agile product development.
CGAP subsequently developed digital implementation assessment guidelines to assess how financial institutions build value for the customer and business with digital implementations. These guidelines complement more comprehensive diagnostics for digital readiness, with a focus on the core value proposition of a proposed investment in digitally enabled business lines.
During this webinar, CGAP will present learnings from the research on value-driven digitization and the main elements of the digital implementation assessment guidelines. U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) recently tested an early version of the guidelines and will present results from the field testing.
Following the presentation, participants will discuss how funders can reduce the risks of failed digital implementations and incentivize financial service providers to adopt digital technology that generates business and customer value. We will also discuss how the digital implementation assessment guidelines can evolve to support these efforts.
