Global Inclusive Growth Summit

At the Center, we’ve put our own spin on the oft-cited maxim about the importance of partnership in shaping progress: If you want to go wide, go with government. If you want to go deep, go with NGOs and researchers. If you want to go fast, go with the private sector. But if you want to go far, go together.

On Monday, October 21, the Center and the Aspen Institute will co-host the inaugural Global Inclusive Growth Summit to spur new transformative partnerships. A one-day event, the Summit will bring together purpose-driven leaders, thinkers, change-makers and innovators to shine a spotlight on data-driven and commercially scalable solutions to advance sustainable and equitable growth around the world.

The line-up of speakers and moderators includes Madeleine Albright, former U.S. Secretary of State; Ajay Banga, president and CEO of Mastercard; Tina Brown, founder of Women in the World; Neville Crawley, CEO of Kiva; Arne Duncan, former U.S. Secretary of Education; Mark Green, administrator, USAID; Anne Finucane, vice chairman, Bank of America; Andrea Jung, CEO, Grameen America; Mitch Landrieu, former mayor of New Orleans; Stephanie Mehta, editor-in-chief of Fast Company; Dan Porterfield, president and CEO, Aspen Institute; Rajiv Shah, president, Rockefeller Foundation; Chetna Sinha, founder, Mann Deshi Bank and Foundation, among others.

Throughout the Summit, attendees, the Center and the Aspen Institute will announce major commitments and partnerships.

The event will be live-streamed on October 21 starting at 9 a.m. Eastern Time. We hope you’ll mark your calendar to watch from the Summit homepage and join the conversation at #GlobalIGS. We invite you to weigh in on the Summit discussions and tell us why inclusive growth is important to you and the most promising partnerships and solutions in your region or area of work.
