Spotlight on… Business Modelling in E-Mobility

Mobility plays an important role for social and economic transformation. Amongst other functions, mobility provides access to jobs and markets. However, the sector is a main contributor to climate change and emissions. Promoting efficient transportation systems is hence key for a sustainable and healthy future. Electric mobility is herein an innovative and eco-friendly solution.

Implementing new technologies is a long and challenging process; and data and learnings are key for the whole ecosystem to accelerate the transformation towards the new technology. This is not different for the e-mobility sector, which is why Siemens Stiftung is holding a virtual session on business modelling in the e-mobility sector. This virtual session is part of the foundation´s series “Spotlight on…”, which aims to connect different stakeholder from the e-mobility sector and promote data sharing amongst those.

On April 7th 2022, Siemens Stiftung invites you to learn from e-mobility operators from Ghana and Kenya. Valerie Labi from Impact Hub Accra is going to present findings from a market entry research for e-cargo bikes in Ghana, and Omondi Ooko is sharing his experiences from the business modelling electric 2-wheelers in Western Kenya. Following the session on business modelling, Siemens Stiftung will launch its report on business model findings from Kenya.
