Strengthening Communities: Insights from Solar Sister’s Climate Resilience Project
Join Solar Sister for an insightful panel discussion on the implementation of Solar Sister’s Climate Resilience Project, funded by Acumen’s Promoting Inclusion Through Leadership & Investment (PITL) project. The PITL is managed by Acumen with funding from Global Affairs Canada. The project transformed the lives of internally displaced women in northern Nigeria, deeply affected by recent flooding, by empowering them to become clean energy entrepreneurs through a unique adaptation of Solar Sister’s model. During the webinar, a panel of Solar Sister’s local staff who led the design and implementation of the program will share best practices and key lessons learned from the project, highlighting how we’ve adapted our model to better serve populations in vulnerable contexts. The panel will also discuss the challenges faced and the innovative solutions developed to enhance climate resilience among these communities, and you will have the opportunity to hear directly from a Solar Sister Entrepreneur who participated in the program.
Whether you’re a practitioner, policymaker, or simply interested in climate resilience and women’s empowerment, this discussion will offer valuable insights and practical strategies for making a difference.
