NextBillion - An Initiative of the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan

On September 25, 2019, Devex, UBS Optimus Foundation and UNICEF will host an engaging event that will evaluate the current landscape of development financing and, specifically, take a deep dive into outcomes-based funding mechanisms — a new generation of public-private partnerships that provides opportunities to attract new private capital to the SDGs and accelerate impact. We’ll examine current collaborations and experiences already in process and evaluate the potential to transition from pilots to scale.

The discussion will reflect on successes, learnings, challenges, and ways forward with the aim of increasing awareness of outcomes-based financing for the Sustainable Development Goals and actions needed to scale and accelerate impact across the globe.
