The Inaugural World [Water] Cup
Throughout the globe today, communities will be celebrating World Water Day. Remembering my first trek to the dirt football pitch in the Mathare slum several months ago, I realize now that perhaps nowhere else is this year’s message of "water quality" more relevant than in the slums of Nairobi.

iBoP Asia Conference
In early March, I attended the iBoP Asia conference FRONTIERS: Charting the Future of S&T Innovations for the Base of the Pyramid in Southeast Asia. Individuals from all sectors met in Jakarta, Indonesia on March 3rd to share and discuss science and technology innovations for the BoP in Southeast Asia.

Vittana March Microfinance Madness: Its Not Too Late!
Vittana.org, a person-to-person micro loan site entirely focused on student loans, recently launched its own tournament: March Microfinance Madness. The idea is that groups form lending teams and compete to see which team can lend the most overall before March ends.
