Hanna Dohrenbusch is a Senior Project Leader at Open Capital and a key member of the Agriculture and Food Systems Practice, shaping the firm’s work to advance agrifood systems’ transformation across Africa. She brings several years of experience supporting SMEs on the continent, including agribusinesses, has led critical institutional strategy development work, and oversees the implementation of various multi-year, development partner-funded programs. Within the agriculture sector, Hanna is passionate about promoting climate resilience and gender inclusiveness.

Hanna joined Open Capital from SunCulture, a solar irrigation solutions provider targeting African farmers. At SunCulture, she was the Head of Business Development, managing complex stakeholder engagements with governments, NGOs and the private sector. She also has work experience with GIZ and DEG, and holds a MSc in International Management from King’s College London.
