New Methods and Models for Social Enterprise Accelerators: Building a stronger, more efficient network
For those of us lucky enough to spend our days (and nights) thinking about how to help more social entrepreneurs help more people, the messiness of the impact accelerator landscape leads to a lot of questions. How can we reach more entrepreneurs? How we can guide the right entrepreneurs to the right program at the right time? How can we maximize our impact on the enterprise? Not to mention, how can we cover our costs of helping these enterprises? My work with the GSBI centers on answering these questions by strengthening and expanding our program offerings.

Frugal Innovation Meets IT Momentum : Why Kenya is emerging as a leader of both
Kenya also is emerging as a perfect experimentation field for "frugal innovation" for multinational companies. Google, IBM, and Microsoft have installed their regional headquarters there. Following Nokia, IBM is now opening its R&D lab in Nairobi. So when the A factor decided to scout for the next Innovation Tour, Nairobi emerged as an evident answer. The Kenyan capital has been rising in the last year as the most promising IT hub on the continent’s eastern shore.

Tech for Impact: Rapid advances in health care, education and design powers Village Capital India cohort
In mid-April, we launched our 18th Village Capital program, “Tech for Impact,” in partnership with CIIE (the Center for Incubation, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship) at IIM-Ahmedabad. We received about 400 applications from across India from entrepreneurs building technologies that provide affordable basic services to the poor, and have high growth. Cultivating Small Business and the Environment: Building on the work of New Ventures
