They can now find their way thanks to a new guide stocked with advice from the field. “Breaking the Binary: Policy Guide to Scaling Social Innovation,” recently published by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, is a how-to on innovation geared toward social entrepreneurs and policymakers looking to improve their organizations.

Social Enterprise Through a Wide Angle Lens : G20 Inclusive Business Workshop Asia focuses on benefits beyond income
Following the annual G20 Summit in Mexico last June, the G20 Challenge was created to celebrate some of the world’s most accomplished social entrepreneurs. Moreover, in order to showcase the winners and share lessons learned at a local level, it began its Regional Inclusive Business Workshops, which bring together select groups of social entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, policy makers, and academics to discuss salient challenges and innovative ways to surmount them.

Sankalp Unconvention Summit 2013: The Global Hotspot for Innovation
Though the ecosystem is fairly developed in India, with innumerable incubators, investors, and facilitators, it is the entrepreneurs who continue to push the boundaries of innovation in India, capitalizing on the country’s rapid growth and optimism, and fighting head-on with the harsh realities of rural distribution, need-finding and scaling in a country where consumer tastes change every 100 kilometers, and institutional bureaucracy and corruption.

The Questions of Sankalp Forum : Angels, incubators, impact measurement and who should pay for it all
Nearly 1,000 members of the impact investing community congregated at Sankalp Unconvention 2013 last week. The fact that this industry has grown so rapidly is anecdotally visible in the turnout at this event – while one would expect social enterprises and investing funds; the breadth of representation from other players was impressive: from incubators, international aid agencies, journalists, and academia to even tech consulting services, marketing and branding specialists. Some interesting themes emerged.
