As a Senior Associate on the Insights & Strategy team, Coco helps to analyze and gather insights from Acumen’s portfolio. Previously, Coco served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua in the community economic development program to help public high school teachers plan and teach entrepreneurship classes. As a graduate student, she worked as a Consultant for the Mayor’s Office of Popayán in Colombia to identify opportunities for economic growth through the city’s food and tourism sector. She also conducted research with JUST Capital on the intersection of corporate responsibility and human rights. Most recently, she worked on human rights issues with Freedom House on the Latin America and the Caribbean team. Coco received her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Global Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her master’s degree with a focus on International Policy from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
