Mike McCaffrey
Financial technology consultant

Mike McCaffrey is an independent financial technology consultant with professional experience in over 20 countries across Africa, Asia and the South Pacific. His work focuses on leveraging technology to alleviate poverty around the developing world. Formerly, he launched and led The Helix Institute of Digital Finance and the Agent Network Accelerator project. Before that, he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia, a regional coordinator at Innovations for Poverty Action, and the financial inclusion technical specialist for the UNCDF in the South Pacific. He attended the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, earning a master’s degree in development economics and a graduate certificate in science, technology and environmental policy. He also earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and psychology from the University of California.
