Oluwadara Alegbeleye

Oluwadara Alegbeleye is a microbiologist and science communicator. She holds a Ph.D. in food science from the University of Campinas, São Paulo. Her research focuses on food safety, microbial risk assessment and sustainable food systems. Her scientific work on food-borne pathogens has informed policy by authoritative agencies such as the WHO, USFDA, EFSA and FAO. It has also been cited by Wikipedia entries, demonstrating the wide reach of her research beyond academic circles. Her public writing has been featured in numerous newspapers and she contributes to global discussions on agriculture, climate resilience, and food security.
