Chris Emmott is a digital finance and off-grid solar specialist working at the nexus of energy access and financial inclusion. Chris currently heads the development of Value Added Services and Product Partnerships at Fenix International, a company of Engie. He leads his team in using design thinking to identify, pilot and scale novel ways to leverage customer relationships and data to build life-changing products and services which maximize customer lifetime value. Prior to Fenix, Chris worked within academia, exploring pathways to a sustainable energy future.

He holds a PhD in the economic and environmental impact of organic solar energy technology from Imperial College London, and a Bachelors in Physics from Edinburgh University.
