Ekta Jhaveri
William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan

Ekta Jhaveri is a Program Manager in the Climate-Health sector at the William Davidson Institute (WDI), where she has built more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of health, enterprise, and international development. Her work at WDI has included projects in healthcare delivery, health systems strengthening and market dynamics. Ekta has worked with partner organizations based in South Asia, Sub Saharan Africa and Latin America.

She started her career in international development at the World Bank, where she focused on education and social protection initiatives across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and East Asia and Pacific (EAP) regions. Ekta led several initiatives under the Bank’s Global Child Labor Program and managed key partnerships with UNICEF and the ILO. Her professional experience also includes working at Meritor, Inc., a leading automotive supplier company, where she was part of the Emerging Leaders Development Program.

Ekta holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Economics from Tufts University. She has limited proficiency in French and is a native Hindi and Gujarati speaker.
