Katie Turner is an independent consultant and brings over 15 years of experience in gender lens investing, ecosystem development, gender-smart technical assistance, blended finance, gender-climate nexus, evaluation, and program design and development. She is passionate about shifting systems of finance to be more equitable in order to create positive and sustainable change. Katie’s expertise builds on her deep experience across Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean working with a range of ecosystem actors including impact investors, DFIs, national development banks, accelerators, investment and business associations, think tanks and economic development organizations, as well as collaborating with funders and ecosystem builders such as GAC, BII, DFAT, Criterion Institute and 2X Global. Katie is on the GLI Community of Practice Steering Committee for the Canada Forum for Impact Investment and Development (CAFIID) and holds an Honours BA in Economics and a Postgraduate Degree in International Development. She is fluent in English and has advanced Spanish skills.
