IMPACT FESTIVAL
With the IMPACT FESTIVAL, we focus on the consistent implementation of sustainable principles and measures. We orient ourselves to the Agenda 2030 adopted by the United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the European Green Deal.
With the IMPACT FESTIVAL, we not only hold an event on the topics of innovation and sustainable transformation, but we also aim to implement our event as sustainably as possible and promote sustainable event organization. In line with the action areas of the Federal Environment Agency (more about this can be found here), we integrate sustainable practices into every step and every phase of event organization. This way, we not only adhere to ecological standards but also promote environmentally friendly initiatives. We minimize our negative impacts as much as possible and strive for a continuous reduction of our ecological footprint.
We are aware that an event like the IMPACT FESTIVAL cannot take place without new emissions. An event of this scale can never be completely sustainable.

Energy Access and Disability Tech for Equitable Futures
Discover how the Transforming Energy Access platform is driving inclusive innovation through partnerships that connect assistive technology and clean energy. This session celebrates achievements from the Disability Support Service and explores new ways to expand energy access for persons with disabilities.
This session is part of the Transforming Energy Access platform’s Disability Support Service, delivered by the Global Disability Innovation (GDI) Hub working to integrate disability inclusion across energy access innovation systems.
As part of the wider Innovation Network, this convening will be a space to bring together all participating ventures, technical partners, and ecosystem enablers who have engaged in the program’s journey. It marks a culmination of this phase of the Disability Support Service celebrating collaborative achievements, surfacing shared learnings, and setting the stage for what comes next in advancing inclusive systems innovation.
This session aims to reflect that commitment by showcasing how innovation pairings between ventures are actively shaping the pathways toward equitable and sustainable futures. The session will spotlight exciting partnerships at the intersection of AT and Energy Access – from the perspective of the innovators themselves. Each partnership will illustrate the potential to expand access to clean energy for persons with disabilities in new and novel ways. These demonstrations will be framed within a wraparound narrative from the Disability Support Service team, supported by voices from TEA program teams, and other ecosystem leaders – linking the showcased innovations to broader systems transformation.
Time and Date: 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm GMT
