Daniel Waldron
Acumen

Daniel Waldron is Head of Insights at Acumen. He collaborates with Acumen’s regional and functional teams to identify the lessons from its activities, and use them to make Acumen and its partners more effective in solving problems of poverty.

Prior to joining Acumen in 2020, Dan spent five years working with the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor, a research center at the World Bank focused on financial inclusion. He managed research and technical assistance for 18 asset finance companies in Africa and Asia, and summarized the findings in a technical guide to managing credit risk.

Dan holds a master’s degree from The New School, and a bachelor’s degree from New York University. He is also a former Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in Tanzania from 2010 to 2012.
