Anahit Tevosyan is Director of Research at FINCA International. Her focus is implementation of research programs in 20 FINCA subsidiaries to address the institution’s interest in understanding the needs, behaviors and socio-economic status of its customers.

Tevosyan has a rich experience of data modeling and analysis, policy assessment and advice. In her nine years of experience in Central Banking of developing country (Armenia), Tevosyan served as Senior Economist primarily concentrating on development of dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models to assess and forecast micro and macroeconomic variables. She is an author of various working papers and publications of Central Bank of Armenia related to DSGE models, big data analysis within the context of credit scoring, enterprise rating systems and financial stability.

She served as a member of Interagency Statistical Working Group of Central Bank, National Statistical Services, and Ministry of Finance of Armenia. Her primary responsibility was to improve the quality of periodic surveys, develop automated sampling templates, and increase the compliance with international standards.

She was a longstanding member of Research Proposal Evaluation Panel at the Banking Industry of Armenia responsible for evaluation, monitoring and supervision of the outsourced academic research projects in banking industry.

She held a research associate position at Economic Development and Research Center of Armenia and carried out quality control of reports for Economic Policy and Poverty Journal.

Tevosyan is a Ph.D Candidate, Market Imperfections and Game Theory—Yerevan State University (2016-2019). She also studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra 2009, IMF Institute of Washington DC 2005, Center of Central Banking Studies, London 2007, Joint Vienna Institute, 2008. She has M.A. and B.A. in Economics, Yerevan State University.
